SOLD - 1992 Monster Miata A/C, PS, ABS - SOLD
Relisting my Monster after replacing the short block.
The engine and transmission are out of a 1992 Mustang GT. The short block is a Jasper reman unit with low miles. Internal components all inspected including bearing clearances. The world class T5 transmission was rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. The clutch , pressure plate, flywheel, throwout bearing, clutch fork and battery were replaced then too.
The car has power steering, power brakes with ABS and air conditioning. The A/C has a new evaporator, orifice valve and rebuilt Ford A/C compressor. It has been fully converted to R134 (car was originally R12). The engine has AFR-165 heads, the intake has been ported and is running the stock Ford fuel injection with the Ford computer. The car has a Ford traction-loc 7.5" differential.
The car also has a big brake kit (Wilwood brakes with 4 piston calipers up front and RX7 brakes in the rear). The sway bars, shocks and springs have also been upgraded. The suspension is still 100% Miata with upper and lower control arms front and rear with height adjustable Bilstein coil-over shocks. There is also a very sturdy track legal roll bar installed.
The car looks stock but it draws a LOT of attention at car shows. Whenever I pull it into a car show the car gets surrounded by the time I can get the hood up. The sound is fantastic! It runs great and still handles like a Miata. It will break the tires loose in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears! This really is a VERY fast street legal race car.

It is ready for a new home! It would cost well over $20K to replicate this car. It is originally an Alabama car and has no rust.
$12000 OBO.

Do you have me confused with someone else possibly?

I owned the car in this Ad. I bought it from Steve.......I drove from Atlanta to Beverly Hills Fla. to pick it up. When he posted that he took a deposit on the car and expected to finalize the transaction the next day....he was talking about me. I then installed a Vortech supercharger on it.
Do you have me confused with someone else possibly?

Anyway, the original thread of when I bought the car you ultimately bought from Steve can be found HERE
My wife and I had a fun adventure, all while searching for our next place to live.
The other white V8 story can be found HERE
And yes, that is Steve (the same one you bought your car from ) under the car helping me install a tailshaft seal at his friends house

Thanks for the quick links.
I researched all of those older pics and info on the car before I bought it. I really enjoyed reading through the history of when you had it and its journey making its way to Steve. It was an awesome car that I really enjoyed.....I should have never sold it. I missed it so much after I let it go that I just bought it's replacement a couple months back. It's good to be back in a v8 Miata.......it's such a unique car and a unique experience......really hard to replicate with any other vehicle.
