1993 Miata LFX Fresh build
This build was a "from scratch money almost no object" build- the goal being an amazing track toy. I took a clean, straight 1993 Miata and stripped it down to nothing. Literally everything was removed to save weight. Then, using components from V8Roadster.com a 2012 LFX motor, 6 speed transmission and G80 Limited slip differential were installed. A New OEM dual plate clutch and flywheel, AIM MXL Pro Data acquisition system with GPS track mapping, a carbon fiber Sparco seat... and SO much more. The final result is a car that weighs 2200lbs (with me in it) and has 350hp. The car pulls hard all the way to a 7200rpm redline and the torque curve is flat. You will surprise and embarrass drivers in much more expensive vehicles. Over $25,000 was spent building this car and I did all of the labor (so that's free). I've been involved in racing and cars for 20+ years and everything was done to high standards. IE- all of the suspension components were removed, sandblasted, painted, new poly bushings installed, new ball joints/ rod ends. There is not a single bolt on this car that was not replaced/ cleaned/ torqued. I have pictures of everything and would be more than happy to discuss any aspect of this build on the phone. One track day and some street miles after being built from new. The only reason I am even considering selling it is to build another project... Some of the pictures were taken during the build. The car is complete, running and ready for the track. I've done one track day and a few street miles since the build. It does not have lights (beyond brake lights), AC, heat, or power anything.
