LS1 Miata - 350 RWHP - $10,000 for both cars *SOLD*
Charleston, SC
I'm looking to sell my V8 Miata project (bad back = too much pain to finish it). The car runs and is street ready. The car is very ugly and has a cracked windshield. Comes with a second "pretty" Miata that has been seam welded and sound proofed. I have the heat shielding ready to go in but it has not been installed. Professionally tuned on the dyno to 350 RWHP. The car will get 30 MPG on the interstate (barely above idle in 6th gear). This is a ridiculously scary death machine. I'm asking $10,000 and you can see the car here and all details here:

Yes, there is something sticking out of the hood. I kind of like it but if you don't it will cost about $20 to fix (just add a 90 degree intake hose). The 2nd Miata has a hood without holes so you can keep everything under wraps.
This video was shot before the car was tuned:
Not many pics of the 2nd car but you can see it here (the hard top was removed and sold):

Is this still for sale? Would you be willing to sell just the ugly one? (to me the power is what makes it pretty :-)
How is this beast titled? Does your county require emissions tests? Mine does so I'd need to put cats in the exhausts right? Is it OBD 1 or 2 compliant? Also, how's the top look? A/C, heat, PS, and ABS all work?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions!

No big deal about questions. I have no problem answering anything you need to ask.

I am very interested in this setup! Is there a reason why you didn't keep the AC? Is it impossible to fit the compressor on the engine? Having AC is one of the main reasons I'm looking into the v8 miata idea so it's kinda a big deal to me. Also, I'd be driving from Atlanta to check it out. So bringing both cars back might be an issue. Unless I can bring a friend and use a uhaul tow-er and tow the rolling shell behind the truck. The car should be able to make the trip to atl right?
It might take a couple days to liquify some funds, unless you might entertain a trade on a badass rock crawler jeep? 9" lift, 37" tires, 4.0L, AX15 trans, dana 300 w/ 2 stick, full cage, 4-link wishbone rear, Dana 44 up front with spool, rear axle from an f250 with arb locker, 4 wheel disc brakes, hydro assist steering, really too much to list.

I didn't build the car, I only intended it to be a "box of parts" for the V8 that I was planning on building. The 2nd car has AC and that was going to remain when the drive train was swapped over. Oddly enough, there is a guy a few miles down the road from me who is building an LS1 with air. It used to be a big deal but it has been pretty well sorted out at this point.
Yes, the car should be able to make the trip. It has had around 15K miles put on it since the conversion.
Not really interested in a trade on the Jeep but it does sound nice!

Georgia Emission laws
The areas around Atlanta have very strict emission laws. Thats the site there. I hope you are 65 or older!
