Headlight issues NA
So the wife decided to borrow my car to go into the big city of Tampa. It is night time and she is in a parking garage. Somehow she decided to run into a large steel cable with the front of my Miata. It scrapped the nose and hood. But the worst damage is to the right headlight as it was up. It is bent and it looks like the framework for it is too. I have ordered a new assembly (used from E-bay). My question is what other things should I be looking at with headlight mechanism? Yep I'm still pissed because this car was unmolested before yesterday.

Ah how well I remember the first time my wife smashed a car. It was a Mustang GT convert and she was petrified I would be mad. Really wifey what part of "I will love, honor and cherish you as I would my own body" do you think I didn't mean? She cried and I just laughed because she was stuck driving my Pinto for a month while I fixed it.
Ditto the mirror on the Camaro my daughter did and my son totaling the other Camaro. They were more hurt more than that cars anyway and learned plenty from the experience. Such great memories of doing life together and just think of how boring this week would be with out this!
But to answer your question the headlight bucket is a very simple 4 bolt affair that is easy to swap and easy to adjust to get the gaps right. Do you have photos of the damage you can post up so we can see it? Hopefully it did not bend the mounts they are bolted to or it will get a bit more complicated.
My only suggestion is if you don't already have good lights spring for something like E-codes while you are at it. They are well worth the $$.
Sorry for your loss but glad for your opportunity to make up. LOL wait - the last time my wife wrecked a car it resulted in my daughter!

It was too foggy this morning to take any pictures. Lots of fun riding my motorcycle to work though. weather is nice today, 85 degrees.
When I looked last night, it seems as though the top painted portion of assembly is bent. Goes up and down okay. Gaps are way off as well as alignment. The front bumper will have to come off so I can have it painted. Not sure if the mounts are screwed up, I am going to take it apart tomorrow when I get home. Its a 24 on/48 off thing.
