347 oil pan
#3
Martin's pan "should" work with a 347 at this point. I know he's adapted all his pans to work with forged 331 assemblies. If you are sending him one to modify and live anywhere with a hint of rust just send him a new dorman one to work with.

Martin's pan will work, but you will probably need to pound a slight dimple right in the center of the pan just behind the modified sump area. My ARP rod bolt just nicked the pan enough to stop me from turning it by hand so, using a ball peen hammer, just pounded a rounded depression into the pan to create about 1/8" clearance. That was a few years ago and I still don't have it running, but everyone that I talked to back then said that should be plenty.
Oh... I have the 1-piece, silicone oil pan gasket in there so that might be a little thicker than the standard gasket.
