Charcoal canister location

Charcoal canister location
In Martin's book there is a nice engine shot of the red car, complete with AC, PS, CC and all emissions. It looks like the charcoal canister is in the stock location...or at least close. Some builds I see where it is moved over to the DS shock tower ledge, which would mean having to move that fuel line over.
Since I'm playing around in the empty engine bay for another week or two before putting the front end stuff back together, I'd like to sort out my fuel line routing.
Have any of you actually used the stock location for the canister and were there issues regarding space with the air filter?
Eventually I'd like to run the pipe down in front of the wheel for cooler air, but for now I'll keep it simple.

Both the stock overflow tank and stock charcoal canister were moved to the driver side on my car. I know that they both fit and are out of the way. I do not think you mean moving a fuel line, more like a vapor line.
