Default Intake Clearance?

I just purchased my first monster this week and it has a stock 5.0L intake. My question is what is required to make a tubular gt40 intake work? The bracing under the stock hood has already been removed.

thanks for any help!

Very much appreciated.

Some have milled the upper intake. Some have milled the lower intake. Some have done both. Some have shimmed down the front sub-frame. Some have added a hood scoop.

Flipping over to Ford engine section to get more visibility from our Ford pros.

Joe could I trouble you to update your signature line so we can see what your car and build? Note Tbones and mine. It's just handy to have it in every post you make. Edit your signature here (click)

Thanks and welcome to the forum and your new car!!
