Speaking of mounts and headers and setback plates, this is where you run into clearance issues with running the cooks/V8R longtubes with the Monster Miata subframe. After I moved it back an inch, there is 3/4” of clearance to the front mount. I moved it back a little further than I needed to. If I had it to do over again, I’d countersink all 4 holes in the plate and move it back 5/8” instead of the full 1”.
