Rat Factory Miata build
This is my first Miata build. It started as a stripped, back yard salvage 92. I've seen a lot of Miata/ V8 conversions. I'm building an old school bracket car with Miata skin.
The chassis is 2x3 back halved, 4 link. 4.10 posi 8.8". 6 pt rollbar, alum. fuel cell. Drive train is an old, trusty 350 +.060, 12.2:1, roller cam. 4 bolt main, ProComp rods. 2.02/1.60 906 heads. P&P, studs & guide plates. Edelbrock airgap 2x4 w/ 9625 AFB's.
Trans is a bulletproof TH400, 12" converter, and B&M shift kit. Pretty straight forward, just not in a Miata. B&M shifter.
All the motor mount plates & frame brackets were fabbed. I'm running front mounts, mid mounts, and a 2x3 tranny cross member, hoping it will stiffen up the back halved chassis.
Purists don't see the humor in it. I was not allowed to rejoin the Indy Miata Club. oh well...

It'll be a street /strip car. I have a lq4 6.0 on a stand, but I figured this old 355 would be good to flog the chassis with.
Yeah, the club guys are nauseated by a mouse motor with carbs, backed up by an automatic. I told one that if he didn't shut up, I'd run a factory dual point distributor...

Landed a new job last June. Been working 70hr/6 day weeks since. All the dust & cobwebs have been installed... back to reasonable hours for the winter. Subframe & control arms are blasted and primed. Ignition is MSD 8361 dist & 6AL controller. Couldn't do points.
