Who has a kit or running Exocet on the West Coast?

I'm looking for lap time results at Laguna Seca, Thunderhill, and Sears Point.

I had a 438ci detuned 530rwhp LS powered FD RX-7 weighing 2470lbs with 7 gallons of fuel running 18x12 at all corners, GForce GSR dog box, and 8.8" IRS 3.27 T-2R rear diff. Managed 1:35.5 with me driving my 1st time at Laguna Seca and 1:33 flat with my buddy driving it (who built it before I bought it) not driving the ***** off it. He said a 1:30 or even a 1:29 should've been achievable but he wasn't interested in driving any harder since I owned it at that point. He has a ton of racing experience at all the NorCal tracks.

Can people post up lap times maybe across the country at road courses to show what these are capable of? Every video I see on YouTube shows people having fun in them... not pushing them hard..... and no lap times. The car sounds very capable and I emailed Exocet that claimed 1.44g skidpad results on NT-01 tires. I just want to see more data/facts.

I'm researching these as my next project car to build. I have a 441ci 4.190" bore/4" stroke resleeved alum 5.3 with 430cfm AllPro heads, solid roller cam, and Dailey billet dry sump system that needs a home.

The other draw is that I don't need to appease the CA smog *****.

Flipped this into it's own thread due to the epicness of the post. You want 195 mph with that FD? How many times did you have to change your undies? I can't imagine but I like the direction you are going with that 5.3!

I would imagine Keith and the FM gang will have the Ecocet at Lugna in October but maybe they had it there last year and can fill in some times for you.

Thx!

Going fast in a straight line doesn't really require much skill when you have done it enuf. ***** or stupidity It's like anything..... the first few times are always the most memorable. Just with big HP you can't simply mash the gas.... there is some finesse involved...

I've gone 205+ in an FD. I would go faster.... I just don't want to put a cage in a nice street car.

So how many V8 Exocets are in the USA..... there is such limited info about them. Let's hear about some lap times/feedback.

I run the car just as you see it in the video. I tape the headlights/hood to seal up the gaps.

The turbo is rated at 1650hp. I have run 22psi before and it spun the tires badly in 5th gear at 175mph+ Which is about 1300-1400rwhp. It makes. 1060rwhp/1070rwtq at 14psi. Awd would be nice.
