Default Dash replacement/upgrade

My dash is cracked right down the middle. I'm not going to do a pad, just not my style. I have not been able to find a replacement dash for a 90/91, but quite a few for 94 and newer. Does anyone know what years will fit in my 91? Also, anyone have a resource for a new dash?

Pretty sure they are the same thru 93.

Actually, any year dash will fit, including the NB, if you replace it in its entirety. There are differences that are immediately apparent, mostly due to passenger side air bag provisions, but if you replace the whole thing, it will fit. Watch out for the NA gauge cover, it varies with the dash.

There's a handy thread on the other forum:

http://www.miata.net/garage/DashRmv_89_93.pdf

that may be of some value.

Probably should mention that if you use the NB, the door panels really should be replaced as well, and there's more involved with them because things were moved around.

I know of a couple of guys here in Georgia that probably could hook you up with a dash.

So an NB dash will bolt in? That is all the way through 2004, correct? But I would have to do door panels also.

I guess I posted this a little early. I did some searching yesterday and found a blog post by revlimiter.net showing the fixing of a cracked dash and then covering it in leather. So I think that is what I'm going to do.

NA6 Dash Restoration ? continued ? revlimiter.net

Any updates? Im considering covering my cracked dash, either in leather or a suede like material.

I came across that link when I was researching. That guy has some great instructional posts.

You're lucky to be covering an NA dash, less humps and bumps than my NB dash....

Dave I know of a part out going on in Sioux Falls right now and don't know if the dash is good or not but around here they don't crack. I might be able to get you some cheap shipping to Atlanta in a few weeks too. Let me know if you want to check it out.

Thanks, Id think about it if its cheap enough, it would have to get to FL though. I've already put a bit of time into my 1/2 dash project but I would like to have one without cracks.

Is it an NA or NB part out?

For me a guy names jason helped me out. I found his video at youtube and his DIY with dash was pretty much amazing. You can easily search that video.
