Fair from Vorshlag - Just found this forum!
Howdy,
My name is Terry and I am a V8 swap addict.... (there should be a 12 step program for this problem)
I've been building V8 swaps since 1998 (when I started my first Miata swap, which was a 302) and should have found this place sooner. A "V8miata forum" sounds like a great resource, glad we stumbled upon it.
I started my first LS1 V8 swap in my home garage back in 2002 using a BMW E36, which later became the basis for the Vorshlag E36 LS1 swap. We've sold something like 80 of these swap kits since releasing the kit in 2007 and have even made LS1 swaps in BMW E30, Z3 and lately released an E46 LS1 swap kit, too.
Our next "victims" include the NA/NB Miata, which was a swap started in late 2012 but we really got serious developing in late 2013. The work on this car is shown above and includes a new front crossmember - which should give us room to add the full length headers we always like to use. This 1999 Miata has an LS1 and a TKO600 5 speed, and doesn't need tunnel surgery. I will post this build thread here later today showing the behind the scenes construction and development of this kit. We are also about to start a BRZ LS1 swap later this month.
We have a great group of gearheads that work here at Vorshlag (8 of us full time now), which all spawned from that silly BMW LS1 swap started in my garage about a decade ago. Two of those are fabricators, and another is a photographer - who shoots these amazing pics. My forum posts always show images of the work we do, step by step. Anyway, glad we found this forum.... looks like a good group of folks makings some pretty badass V8 Miatas.
Cheers,

Welcome Terry. I too have become somewhat of an addict although I've kept all my swaps to Ford/Miata up to this point. Your build threads and any technical information you can add to our forum would be very welcome but remember that in order to sell anything you're going to need become a sponsor first. Just an FYI.
Please don't take the above as us trying to turn you away. I just want to make sure the advertizing ground rules are clear. I look forward to seeing another swap vender joining MM, FM, BF, and V8M. After all, more competition = more competitive pricing = more kit buyers = more V8 Miatas on the road
We'd love to see your development of a kit documented here but once the time comes to sell one or even talk pricing it you'll need to be a sponsor first.
Welcome!
