Hi - and Help 302 stroker anyone?
Hi Everyone!
I think I have an itch....
I'm new to everything...and I'm not a wrench.
I've got a 97 SC miata with the MP62 making 161 bph at the rear and it's not enough.
I need a bit of help. I live in Golden, CO and I need a daily driver (90% crusier and 10% track). I'm looking at the 302 with a stroker kit. I have the manual from Monster Miata and I've been reading alot.
I will be cruising this site if anyone has a 302 and feels like providing any tips or pitfalls to consider. I'm all ears.
Thanks for the welcome and the time.
Chris

Hi Chris,
I've build 4 complete Ford Monster Miatas and have "re-engined" two others for people. My current car is a 331 and the two re-engining cars were upgraded to 331's from 306's. The 331 is a great compromise between increased displacement and longevity. I built mine two years ago and have over 12,000 miles on the conversion at this point. At this point, about 600 of those are hard-core track miles.
Check out my build galleries (there's one here or click on my sponsor link and navigate to the "builds" page of my site) to see what's all involved. It's really not that bad of a project (especially if you buy my plug-n-play wire harness...).
Hope your build goes well and welcome to the forum,
-Jason McCully
