Just Another Noob
LynnB from Midland, TX, here. Just checking in. Looking for a killer post-retirement project to kick off in a couple of years. Was thinking Factory 5 Racing Roadster or 33 Hotrod, but don't like the as-delivered fit/finish quality. Way too much prep and rework for my tastes. Looked at some other stuff like an SL-C, but too much money and not enough utility. I'm looking for a hi-perf daily driver, not a $100k track toy.
Saw the Gearz Banshee episodes, started Googling, and here I am. Good cloth top, good hard top, not just roll-up windows but POWER windows, big-power/small-car, great handling, near-factory reliability, outrageous sleeper...
Looks like I found my ride!
Looking forward to learning much here. Thanks for letting me in.
Lynn B.

The Factory Five Cobra thing was me before I saw the Monster Miata article in a car mag.
Then I retired about the time of the Banchee project on Gears.
I am about 95% complete with my Ford conversion. The axles are Factory Five Cobra axles though! ;-)
Good luck, have fun with it. Remember that this is a HUGE project. Plann Plan and then execute!
