LS2/T56/Getrag Swap Saying Hello
Hello all,
I finished my build approximately 2-years ago. I have done some tweaks over the past two years since finishing (never done I guess) which include a FM snorkel intake and cam install. I have spent most of my time over at m.net but am now looking to diversify and add other resources to my passion. The car details:
- V8r Rear Kit;
- GTO Engine/T56;
- Mazda 929 Brake Booster & Master;
- GTO Accessory Drive Modified to Corvette Depth (i.e. Alternator Bracket Shaved, Custom PS Bracket);
- DGR Race Coilovers.
Here are some pictures of the car:

Wow sweet car! I'm glad you posted that up and I look forward to having you jump in with the been there done that guys here. 929 brake booster is a new one on me and would love to hear more about that. I have always really liked the Mustang hood vents on our cars too both for the function and the cool factor. So you you track your car? DD? From the look of the back ground you must be in Gods country not the frozen wasteland like me!

The plan for the car is to get it out to the track, but it has yet to happen. I have only put maybe 2,500km (1,500 miles) on it in the past 2 years because work for a while consumed my life. Hopefully, this coming summer it will finally get out to track-days.
Regarding the back ground: The picture was taken during the summer. Imagine the background now with a foot of snow and riddled with branches from the ice storm which we just had up here in Toronto. The car is long away sleeping the winter months off.
There is number of threads regarding the use of the Mazda 929 brake booster/master on m.net. It is cost effective way to get a larger diameter (1") master cylinder. The other option is to go the 1" Wilwood route. The 929 setup requires no special parts/fittings to install. I had lightly massage the lip of the booster (you could also use a grinder) because it is so large that it hits the deck. Could have probably installed without tweaking but wanted to just give a little breathing room.
