May be selling my MegaSquirt 2 PNP- anyone interested?
This is more of a feeler than an actual sale ad. I'm really considering moving up to a MS3 from the MS2 I have now. I always intended to go with the MS3 because of its added features and even had one in my hands at one point. I was ready to start building a harness and start learning to tune it from scratch when all of a sudden...
my first child was born.
Realizing that my new life really didn't have the time allowance in it to work out all of the above I traded my unused MS3 and Harnesses in to DIYautotune for a Ford 5.0 MS2 plug-n-play version. Becuase it came with an adapter harness I was able to plug it into the Ford ECU plug and use the already converted Ford harness to run it. It also came pre-loaded with a base Mustang tune. All of this allowed me to learn the tuning slowly as I could (I actually swapped between the A9L and the MS2 until I got the MS2 dialed in enough).
Now that I've driven with it for two years I'm pretty confident that I can tune the MS3 and build the needed harness pretty easily. Selling my MS2 will help with this process greatly. It's going up for sale regardless after the swap but if I knew someone was interested beforehand it would make pulling the trigger a little easier.
You'd be getting:
1. A DIYautotune-built PNP MS2 designed for a 5.0 Mustang with fan control and my current tune loaded to it. I'd be happy to change the injector size or displacement in the programing to your before shipping. I had launch control/flat shift added to it when order but never hooked it up.
2. An extended length MS2 to Ford ECU connector adapter harness. As shipped these are about 12" long. I extended this one by about 4 feet so that I could mount the ECU behind the passenger seat.
3. A programmable port breakout harness - I made this up to gain access to the two programmable output connections. You'll need it to control the fans. Currently it also has one other port that could be configured to run anything (water injection, shift light, etc.)
here's a link to the product page:
MegaSquirt-II V3.57 plug and play for 1986-1993 5.0 Mustang DIYAutoTune.com
Currently they are asking $629.00 for this. I'm looking to get $500 for everything above.
PM me if interested.
