Default Finally pulled the trigger on a lift

Just finished installing my 2 post lift. I used to have both my Miatas side by side, but grew tired of no room in the back of the garage. Now the plan is to stack them. Still need to finish the wiring, but here is initial pictures. My ceiling is a bit over 10 feet, so this 9 foot 2 post that lifts 72in is perfect.

Had to move around some shelving and stuff, but will get all that organized later. Lots of clutter around now.

What brand did you go with? I am in the processing of building a garage and want to do this as well. I'd like to thicken the concrete where the lift will sit. Nice job.

After lots of research, I went with a Bison from North American Auto Equipment. They put together a nice video detailing their construction vs other lifts here: Bison Lift

I used the 9K lift for low ceilings (10 foot). If I could build by garage I would have 13 foot ceilings for a lift with overhead cables to free up the small ramp I have on the floor where cables and hoses run. They also included mounting hardware and truck pad extensions. Very reasonable for what I need it for.

Got it up and going. Works perfectly, and the wife still gets to park her SUV in the garage.

Outstanding job!!, I have one just like it and love it....only issue is a noisy pump. Be sure to keep the oil level t the mark when it is in the down position.
