Did you have to modify the bar at all? What's the wheel rate?

Wheel rate is similar to spring rate, as measured at the tire contact patch. Wheel rate takes into account things like unsprung weight, shock angle and location, etc. The purpose of the bar is to add wheel rate while cornering. Essentially, the bar is for fine tuning the suspension.

The ------ sheet mentioned in the above post gives stock bar rates. How many pound does it take to move the bar 1". You can use that figure to calculate wheel rate. The ------ sheet calls it "Spring Rate", but it really means bar rate.

Any modifications to the bar will change the rate. The longer arm will increase the lever effect, and decrease bar rate. Standard welding procedures create enough heat to change the torsional properties of the bar.

Measuring the bar rate is pretty simple. Place a bottle jack on a bathroom scale, and place it under the end of the bar, where the bolt hole is. Jack up the end of the bar exactly 1", and see what the bathroom scale reads.

You'll notice it has a big drop in it that gets it below the damper pulley without lowering the mounts excessively.

exactly... It's to clear the damper.

For the rate, i'm sure it's better then my stock miata swaybar. Even with my lil extension, My mount are about 1/2 inch shorter.

I just want to show a other sway bar that help a v8 swap.

For the rear i will put a stock one.
