NB power steering Issues
I'm installing a Ford 5.0 in an 2001 NB using Martins kit. The power steering rack has a large banjo connector on the front of the rack and the line runs over the to of the rack that makes the engine install so far forward and high that I can't mount the header on the driver side. Has this been a common problem with the NB and if so what has been the solution? Should I use an NA rack?

I used -4 Teflon lined power steering hose. Call Mark Reynolds at Breeze automotive, he can supply everything you need.

I ended up moving the engine far enough forward to give me about 1/8” clearances but had problems with the return line rubbing on the side of the oil pan. I replaced the return banjo bolt with a thiner bolt and making a new line rerouting the line to give me the clearance needed. The engine is forward but enough clearance that I could mount Martins radiator fans between the engine and the radiator. I don’t like Martin’s fans, I don’t think they are strong enough to handle the heat at idle for more than 10 minutes. I raised the engine about 5/16” above the motor mounts by stacking washer which still gave me enough hood clearance with a Trickflow intake that I didn’t need to modify the hood more than what Martin recommended. I didn’t need to modify the intake manifold either. I recently converted the engine to carburetor and like that over the fuel injection. Much more hood clearance and easer for me to tune.
