Ok, I know I've seen the S-10 mentioned somewhere, but my search did not reveal anything like that.....So, Are most of you using another clutch slave cylinder than the Miata OEM??

577nitro, I'm running the S10 slave....it works, is cheap and readily available. The only downside is this; to adjust the adjustable clutch pushrod I'm running I have to unbolt the slave, remove the rod, adjust, then reinstall. Definitely a pain. That said, its only about a 10 minute job.

Hmmm, are the other like that, or can they be adjusted without removal?
Non of them are very expensive, this I one that a guy who did a Ford conversion in a MGB

Most of us use the Miata's slave with bracing and a further inboard hole drilled in the Ford clutch fork. At the other end we use a 7/8th master from the monster Miata kit or from Wilwood. People have gone up to a full 1" master as well.

I just looked at that one you linked to above. It's comparable in price to a new OEM Mazda slave even with the adjustable rod. If I were building one now I'd just go with that.

That is what I am going to do, and calculate the master bore issue. Seems the stock unit is pushing enough fluid/pressure to get the job done. Are any of you using a ball (turned nut on the push rod) to go in the socket that most have drilled and ground, or just the face of the nut, and are you also using a nut on the frontside of the fork in the return motion?
