Default Remove Brake lines or not?

I trying to figure out what I want to do with the brake lines on my car. Since this is an Arkasas car, the brake lines look really good. I havent disconnected anything from the system yet, but i will need to eventually.

Im debating on whether or not to remove all the metal brake lines and clean them up with some fishing line and a pipe cleaner and putting them in storage until I have the everything roughly in place.

I think for the forseable future, I will need to run the stock brakes, but with maybe with upgraded pads and rotors until I can afford a wilwood setup.

What kinda bugs me is the abs on this car is enormous. Im not opposed to leaving it in, but i want it out of the way. If i remove the lines, then the abs will go with it. If i leave the lines in, ill have to work around it.

What have you guys done with your setups?

I suppose i could build a system from scratch but that will have to come with the wilwoods. What do i do until then?

The front lines go with the cradle and I left the back all in place for the build. But then I didn't take everything off and paint like a lot of guys do. One thing to note the stock Miata lines are metric and brittle as can be. It’s impossible to double flare them.

I was able to flare my rear brake line to install the adjustable proportioning valve. You have to file the cut end at a 45* angle before you make the first flare of a doudle-flare, or the line will tend to crack.

Just for closure on this thread I started. I decided to remove the brakes lines, as I have found that new preformed steel lines are stupid cheap. I also plan on removing the ABS so, I'll need to run new lines anyway.
