Weird Sound Coming from Diff?
Good Evening All, so I've probably got about 50 miles on my new build. I take it out and then put it up on jack stands and have a look to make sure everything is in order. Well today while moving it in the garage I hear a weird sound from the rear end.
Have a listen to the video, (you don't have to have a Dropbox account, it it asks you to log in just cancel that screen)

Is that a normal sound for a 7.5 rear end?
Thanks,
Denis

And I thought I knew my F0RDS
The only things I can think of are did you lube the Axle Hub seals where the aluminum spacer runs and mates the F0RD axle to the Miata dust seal, sounds like dry rubber rubbing. I know the rubber wheels on my carts make that same noise when I am wheeling over freshly cured floor epoxy, didn't just epoxy the shop floor by chance?
Any rear I have witnessed going makes clunks or just locks up tight when one of the pins backs out. Can be exciting to feel at 70MPH on a 300hp hit of juice, at least I was on a track and just missed the wall when she locked, sheared the pinion splines smooth like a machined shaft.
Good luck on your new quest
