Default Track tire set up

I have read all about road tire limited availability. I'm looking for best rim/tire size for my Miata with Autokonexion version 1 flares for use on the track. Easy fit would be a 15x9 rim with the Hoosier 245/580/15, but thinking of waiting for a 15x10 rim to come my way and go with the 275/35/15 set up. Anyone know what people are using out there? I'm not that knowledgeable on track performance vs tire size. I want to balance between driveabilty, cost, and durability. Hard to do when you talk about track stuff.

949 racing will have 15x10 rims this summer. I will get those and the 245/40/15 when they do. Talked with the guys at flying Miata, and I went with the setup they use on their V8 for now. Just ordered the Advanti Racing Storm 15x9 with Toyo RR 225/45/15 from Tirerack.

What type of spacer are you running if any?

Using a 25mm (1in) spacer front and back right now. That will probably get reduced when I switch over to 15x9 and 245's. Not sure of actual type or brand. They attach to the stock 4x100 lugs and have their own 4 lugs to attach tires to. Kind of like a spacer you would use to change lug pattern. You can see them in this picture when they were on my old setup. I just reused them.

Those look really wide for 225s, they fill better than my RS3s did.

Very nice.
