Default Fan Wiring

I never got the fans to come on automatically off the thermistat. So i wired them to Key hot. Recently they have been causing my car to stay running when I turn off the key.

My question is has anyone else had this problem when using Martins monster miata guide and if so how did you fix it? And what do you guys think i should do... wire it to a On / off switch or buy a new temp controlled switch from jeggs.

I usually do both also but in this car I am letting the computer do the work. At least until he proves he is not up to the task!

I have my ms2 running mine currently but before that I had a Miata thermoswitch triggering it. The Miata thermoswitch is not ideal. If I did not have the ability to use my ecu to run it I would pick up a Hayden thermocoupler kit from summit. I've seen it used a few times and it really can't be beat for around $30 bucks for a relay, sensor and fuse.

I have my ms2 turning the fans on at 210 and off at 200. The car runs a about 205 usually. I run evans waterless coolant so my temps are a big higher than normal h2o temps.
