Default Moate Chip on 5L Miata ?

Any play with Moate Chip?

Thinking about installing one in my car to manage my 5.0l.

Thanks

I just did a little research as this is a new one to me.
It looks like the main downfall of this option is that you can not datalog from it, you have to settle on a tune through some other system (Tweeter keep coming up) and then once you settle on a tune burn it to the Moates and you're done.

I looked into the Quarterhorse piggyback (sounds similar to this) as an alternative to an all-out MegaSquirt solution but considering you can pull and sell your a9l and mass air meter if you use the MS the MS comes in cheaper (a working a9l sells for upwards of $125-$150). I'm still leaning toward going with a DIYPIP Megasquirt.

If you want to go the megsquirt route I think a whole assembled one with a wide band is up for sale on this forum.
