Yes, I know this is a v8 forum, but most of you have extensive hands on with the harnesses. I am wondering if I can simply pull every wire that goes to the ECU. I won't have PS, AC, or anything to make the car idle up. So I simply need the chassis and power harness to remain. Yes, I do have the factory wiring schematics, and yes I do have the pinout of the ecu. Just needing a bit of advice or point in the right direction. THANKS!

Funny you should ask that is my plan for the weekend. I have the entire harness from my donor car (02 Camaro). My plan is to lay it out and take all the tape and covers off it. Then remove the parts I know I don't need like the tail lights and anti-lock brake stuff. I am hoping to be able to use quite a bit of the donor harness and run the camaro gauges, fuel system and even the cruise control if possible. I’m not sure on cruise because my donor car has traction control and they use the same module so I might not be able to make that work. For me the wild card is how much, if any, the engine computer chats with the body computer. I think that is the area that is going to get me in trouble.
There age guys on this forum that will have much more meaningful answers for you that have actually done it. But it would be helpful to know what are you swapping into what exactly.
