Default Questions for Ford 5.0 cars

Just wondering if anyone has some good pictures of their engine bay. Specifically around the passenger side, Looking to see how vacuum lines and wiring were run.

Ive got an awful mess going on in my engine bay. Old crusty electrical tape, wiring crammed in corners and taped together etc. As well as that Ive got at least two vacuum lines capped off with screws and dangling loosely beside the fuse box on the passenger side. It looks like a big ball of WTF!?
I really want to clean this up a bit. I dont want to go to far with it at the moment, just what i can get at with a reasonable amount of work (meaning i don't want to take much of the car apart for now, summers coming! )
Id love to see some shots of some of your cars and see how it should be done.

I'm going to try to get some pics up of my mess in the near future, but i still haven't figured out how to post pics. (will work on it)

From the few engine pics Ive seen here and there, none of the other cars seemed to be nearly as cluttered in that area as mine. Although i haven't seen a really clear shot of that area on a running 5.0 miata, Ive only come across shots of partially completed cars.

thanks again

OK i think i did it? hope so. I fail with computers.

anyhow, assuming the images work, that's the jumble of mess. Its not normally all strapped to the hood like that, i just tried to pull it apart to get a better shot of whats run where.
Is this anywhere near normal? Is there any way i can tidy it up a bit?

The two lines running off to the right are connected, the rest is how i found it. Any idea what those two capped lines are? Are they necessary, is there a way i can remove them if not?
Thanks for any advice

(BTW the car does run fine, i just don't like the clutter. And those two screws bug me, damn that's ugly!)

That second line (the thicker one) running up toward the hood in the second shot appears to connect two together, and its capped on the end. I can take some more shots if you guys need another angle or whatever.

thanks again!

Been staring at a mustang vacuum diagram all morning......

starting to get and understanding of it i think. From what i can see, the capped lines are for some of the features on a mustang (hvac controls, vacuum reservoir etc) that are not used in the miata, at least not in mine apparently.

If that is true, can i not just shorten the lines up where necessary and cap them the same as they are now? (with something better than spare bolts) Anything to watch out for?
