WTB nice quality LS powered Miata
As the title says, I am looking for a nice quality build, preferably an NB but will consider all years.
Upset that I let Turboboost's car slip through my fingers.
PM with what you have.
Thanks,
Jeff

The less I feel I need to change on a particular car the more I will be willing to pay. I would like a car with A/C, coil overs, and a straight body with decent paint. I would like to be in the mid teens somewhere depending on the car maybe a bit more.
If I have to pay in the $20's I'll get another Z06 for wider appeal on resale.

You may get lucky. I didn't have the patience to be lucky. But had zero desire for a Vette (nothing against them, just not for me). Again, good luck.

Forget about resale there is a buyer for every car. Buy the car you love be it a vette or a Miata. You should know that apples for apples and dollar for dollar there is not a vette on the planet that will keep up with the same level v8 Miata.

I race an NB Spec Miata and have been wanting to try an LS powered one for a couple of years now. I may end up building my own if I can't find a nice one to buy.

If you have the time and the skill and don't want to pay FM type prices, imo, this is the way to go. There a big part of me that wishes I had undertaken the conversion myself, but I wanted to have my thrills now. I payed a premium for that impatience that I'll never recoup but I've never looked at toys as an investment. The other side of that coin (buying one converted) is I was concerned about other shade tree jobs and the gremlins that are bound to show up from short cuts taken. I know it's a pessimistic outlook, but not everyone is a perfectionist.

Mid teens will get you a nice Ford with what some of what you're hoping to find on it. If you do find an LS in that price range I'd be very worried about the build quality.
Good luck though,

Update: I have started down the road toward building a car. I bought some parts from a guy who decided not to build. I have what is basically the FM LSx install kit, a CTS diff, Wilwood clutch master, and a set of FM headers. I am looking for the right NB donor. My buddy has an aluminum block 5.3 that we may end up using but I am thinking it may not have enough power. Thinking just a cam swap and LS6 intake.
Should be a fun ride.
