WTB nice V8 Miata
Hi guys,
Im looking for a good V8 miata.
I mean clean, well build, sorted, low milage, lots of power.
Would pay up tp 25k for something epic, but would be happy with a cheeper good one.
The car would be shiped to europe and became a part of my family
Thx for your help, @rturro

I would look at the classifieds here and look back a ways. When I was looking I did not check back very far and someone suggested that I look back a couple of years as some cars do not sell and folks just sit on them. I found a great car for under 11 and it had been advertised a year earlier with only one post. The guy had decided to keep it but when I asked, he decided that with the sale that he could buy the Chevelle that he was currently looking at. The LS car that Jim posted seems like an excellent car but there are many listed here that cost a lot less. Maybe not quite as fast but nice indeed. Jim always finds cars that make me drool with envy...

Arturro,
You will find folks here are very happy to help others out. This is one thing that makes this board a good place to spend time. Ask questions now as it will prevent problems in the future. If you want to do try something with a V-8 Miata most likely someone here has done or tried it. They are happy to share their knowledge and there is a bunch of knowledge here.

I've been pondering this for a couple days and have a question for you Arturro. For 25 large plus the cost of shipping couldn't you build one locally? With the exception of the sub frame all of the fabrication is pretty basic and even the sub frame is not rocket science. There are several Miatas running around with Lexus and Rover V8s in them. Factor in all the v8 BMWs in your part of the world and I would think there would be plenty of drive train options.
Even if you are not interested in building a car yourself I still think you could still do it cheaper local. You just have to find a guy like me that likes tinkering in the shop more then he likes making big bucks and there are plenty of hotrodders out there like that. If someone approached me with a budget that would support a first rate clean build I would be thrilled to do it. If for no other reason than to put to good use all the times I said if I was to do it again I would have….
Just thinking out loud here in round numbers but if you allocate 5000 for a Miata, 5000 for a drive train, 7500 for conversion parts, 2500 for surprises and 5000 for labor I would think you could have a top shelf build done the way you want it with in that budget. And you could get your hands dirty along the way and enjoy the process too.
Just a thought...

Arturro,
I think I may have what you are looking for. I have a 93 Miata with the full Monster 302 kit, with five speed and TB rear-end. The engine has FI and a roller cam and kit, Trick Flow heads and is dyno tuned. It has been on the road in the current form for over 5 years and is very dependable. My asking price is $14,500. If this interests you, get back to me.
